Be creative with carousel ads

Consider telling a story about your product or service within your ads, it will help get your message across and help reach people that have a higher chance of becoming a customer. Facebook’s carousel ad option is the perfect way for you to tell your story.  

Engaging and aesthetically pleasing, the carousel lets you use add multiple images to your campaigns and rotates through them like a carousel so people can see your various offerings.

This format also allows for multiple links as well meaning you can drive traffic to different parts of your site.

Facebook unveiled the carousel ads in 2014, and in 2015 they reported that carousel link ads drive 30-50% lower cost-per-conversion and 20-30% cost-per-click than single image ads.

The carousel option is a powerful tool if you have multiple products to show, or if you have before and after photos. For example if you’re a personal trainer the carousel is a great way to show multiple client transformations, or if you are a wedding planner you can include multiple images of previous weddings you’ve worked on.

Try telling a story with your carousel ads, you’ll notice a huge difference in your conversion if you do. Make the first photo a very engaging one that makes people want to see the rest of your ad and finish the story you’re telling.

Something important to keep in mind is to make sure that all of your images flow and match each other so if they have a filter, make sure they all have the same filter, and if there’s text be sure it is the same colour font and size so that there is fluidity.

Use keywords that will stand out to your targeted customer and engaging language that makes people stop on your ad instead of just scrolling past and be sure to include your branding in the images so that it’s visible within the ad and not just on your ad profile.

Of course the key to your ad is to have a strong CTA (Call To Action) so people know what the next steps are once you’ve got them interested in your product/service.
